This [work] series is a fantastic resource for law students, particularly those who desire careers in large commercial firms. It provides an easily accessible roadmap to success in what can otherwise be an overwhelming process. By breaking down the aspects of job hunting into seven readily digestible sections, I have come away with a clear idea of what I can start doing now to prepare myself. The section on interview questions is particularly useful, especially for someone, like me, who does not have a lot of experience being interviewed. I plan to use the sample questions and guiding comments to start preparing myself for interviews well in advance and mitigate any anxiety I may be feeling about them.

I would have loved some more detail regarding certain aspects of the series, in particular, finding a personal unique selling point. This is an aspect of the process that I am nervous about as I don’t have much directly relevant experience to a job in legal practice. I think some further examples of how candidates have creatively linked their unrelated experience to the jobs of their choice may have helped me feel more confident. However, overall, I found the available information a great springboard for me to continue to conduct my own research.
