Overall, this was a well-structured book that read well and was easy to follow. It had a warm, conversational tone, while remaining extremely concise and informative.

I particularly enjoyed the structured break-down of characteristics which law firms looked for, accompanied by practical advice on how to demonstrate these attributes throughout the recruitment process.

I also appreciated that you explained the significance of why you should aim to do a particular thing or demonstrate a particular attribute in your application and how this would be relevant to actually working in the legal profession, rather than just touting it as a desirable attribute which could equally apply to any other profession.

I felt that this book provided me with genuinely unique and valuable insights into how to present a stronger application, with its specific practical advice and explanation of the importance/rationale of certain questions or attributes – in my experience attending career panels with recruiters for law firms, as well as talking with recent summer clerks or graduates, I generally hear the same recycled advice (e.g. be yourself, proofread your application, research our company), but this provided me with a more concrete idea how to go about the application process.
