Nigel teaches his readers to take control and influence recruiters via both written applications and in-person interviews.

In a job market which is typically overcrowded, super competitive and extremely intimidating, Nigel teaches his readers to take control and influence recruiters via both written applications and in-person interviews. Methodologically, by chapter, Nigel goes through a strategy for identifying your job of choice, isolating a sector of the legal industry, standing out to recruiters and making a good impression. This book is unique in that if offers practical advice. It provided tips on writing resumes, cover letters, how to answer interview questions, and most importantly, how to set expectations when applying for roles in the field. Normally, this type of information is elusive, and depends on who you speak to. Fortunately, Nigel’s book makes this available to all, to inform and empower students in their legal careers.

‘A job of choice after law school’ is also very easy to read, accessible to both a high school student considering applying for law school and a university student ready to graduate law school. Nigel speaks from a depth of experience, and his knowledge is certainly evident in this text. Overall, I would rate this book five out of five stars, for its honest wisdom and practical advice. It is a one-of-a-kind book that contains essential information for any person considering a career in law.”
